In reply to: No access to dashboard AND parse error after 4.3.1 updateWhen the parse error showed for the first time I was able to go back and I undid the edits and clicked to upload the changes but then the parse error remained 🙁 I have the original functions.php file on my desktop. Do you mean I should ftp it to the files on my hosting site? And will this cure my problem of not being able to access my dashboard? Thanks (sorry for being so dim but this is the first time I’ve encountered a problem like this)

In reply to: Unable to access Dashboard after updating to 4.3.1Absolutely stuck! Did the upgrade to 4.3.1 Seemed ok. Went to functions.php file to tweak (done this plenty before without problem) – it didn’t like it! Got a parse error message: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /www/sites/44a/e0d/www.comtruck.co.uk/web/wp-content/themes/dustlandexpress-premium/functions.php on line 320 I clicked the ‘back’ button and removed the tweak. Still the same error message. Now I have NO ACCESS to my dashboard at all. Have upgraded my php to 5.6 with my host (as a forum message suggested this may help) but has made no difference. Website is down. No idea what to do. Time critical! Any advice?
