Thank you! You guys are the best! The site is working exactly like I wanted to, and after having mucked everything up very terribly, I now understand the sequence to be followed to develop the store as it should be.

The stock numbers are now working. Perhaps I erase the pages and should start again?

    Are my steps right:
    1. Add parent item with SKU and basic price. Save.
    2. Add attributes with price change. Save.
    3. Set up variations with individual SKUs and prices. Save.
    4. Go to list all products and access the individual child pages.
    5. Add in SKUs; go to the inventory tab, access he appropriate stockroom and enter the quantity. Save.

When all the child pages are published, all of them appear in the store rather than just their parent.

    Thanks.

When those variations are published though, instead of only the parent showing on the main page, parent and all the children show.

Also, I just want IN STOCK to show, rather than the precise number.

When I click on VIEW CART, I get an exception thrown no such product message, and the checkout screen is blank.

Please help. Here is the site that’s being set up: http://simplywarped.com.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for replying.

Yes, in global, CHECK STOCK has a tick mark in the box.

I use attributes, set them up for color, weight, and count. Adjust the price by weight. Then I go to variations and enter the same info along with the SKU for each item.

Ok, so I do the variation, then go to the INVENTORY section and add stock there. I should not add stock in the attributes section?
