    It seems my problem is the same.
    After upgrade plugin generates MySQL error

    Latest versions of WPML and Woocommerce.

    Disabling of your plugin fixes the issue.

    I did not see the upgrade notice about UM either.
    I had tried to re-install WPSSO Free, but blog remains non-functional, generating 500-errors. The only solution I found was to delete both plugins — WPSSO and UM, then install WPSSO and it required the UM installation — and it worked then. Though I am not fully getting the idea of having separate plugin that has to be upgraded in order to upgrade another plugin, but anyway the situation was very clear — I saw a notice about new version of WPSSO only, clicked “Upgrade” and got my blog crashed.
