In reply to: [Twenty Sixteen] 2016 theme classic editorI tried again, and this time it worked. Also checked out the plugins. One is three years out of date and no longer kept-up. The other works, but in a very limited way. I’ll keep trying to figure it out.
Thanks again for your help.

In reply to: [Twenty Sixteen] 2016 theme classic editorThanks for jumping in. Much appreciated.
I don’t want the menu bar at the top anywhere. I tried deleting everything in the menu, but then 2016 assigned my other menu – the real menu – to primary, in the header. So I need another approach. Any ideas?
I’m on my way to look at the plugins you mentioned. Thanks again.

In reply to: ERROR: You are trying to login with an administrative account.Another development: one of the two sites that would not let me into the admin panel is now in a better mood and I can login. The other is still playing hard to get. As I can get into the admin pages through Site Ground, I think I’m going to go with that for a while. Until I can find enough courage to take it on.

In reply to: ERROR: You are trying to login with an administrative account.I just realized that it’s happening on more than one WordPress install. It’s also happening at https://saradonati.com/little-birds1857/

In reply to: ERROR: You are trying to login with an administrative account.Installed plugins. Please note that if one of these is redirecting logins, that's something it thought up on its own and has never done before. In reply to: ERROR: You are trying to login with an administrative account.I can’t get into the admin side of the installation so I’d have to install the health-check plugin, and then I couldn’t get the findings because (again) I can’t log in. Any way around this?
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

In reply to: [Yada Wiki] page categories > wiki categoriesHey David — It does help, thank you. I’ll give the plugin a whirl and see if it works for me. In the meantime, a bigger issue has come up.
Do you know if the wiki plugin interferes with page layout? I tried to change the page template (I’m assuming that’s the template the wiki uses) to ‘default – no sidebar’ because the wiki text just needs more room — but no matter how I approach it, the sidebar still comes up on both regular pages and on wiki pages. I don’t think css will do the trick on this, and I’m just generally baffled. Thoughts?
Thanks for the kind words about the site.

PS think about that tip jar idea
I’ve been using this plugin for years, but it has stopped working. So I’m wondering about an alternate that adds categories to the permalink structure. Please post if you’ve found something, Marc.

In reply to: 2 of 5 installations suddenly without cssHi Steve — Thank you for the quick response. I just emailed them.
Okay, well. I didn’t realize it would mean a lot of work for you. Would increasing the size of the icon also be a lot of work? Because that would also solve my problem.
I’m still hoping someone will be able to point me in the right direction on this. Anybody?
Okay, thank you. I thought if the footer.php file was a template the header would be one, too. WordPress themes are getting more complicated all the time, which is why I very much appreciate the free Twenty Seventeen theme and the support forum.
However: I’m still stuck, because I have absolutely no idea what to add to the functions.php file in my child theme to replace the site title/description with an image. Any hints?
