Plugin not required if you can change the domain for the gtm.js loading script like described here on step 9: https://gtm-server.com/how-to-add-a-custom-domain-to-the-google-tag-manager-server-container/

Hi,
The “Tag Assistant” Chrome plugin is Legacy for a few months and can’t detect GTM Web containers if installed from a custom domain.
When you use the GTM Server Side and our plugin, all js code of Web Tag Manager is downloaded from the GTM Server Side container domain. That helps with solving ITP issues.
