You don’t say what you mean by “website crashes” (WSOD, error message on the screen, error message in the error log with debug mode turned on, etc). However, if it happens when deleting the plugin, I’d say it’s unrelated to the plugin.
You can try these troubleshooting steps. https://semperplugins.com/documentation/how-to-troubleshoot-issues-with-all-in-one-seo-pack/Let us know it happens with all other plugins deactivated and the default theme (Twenty Nineteen) activated, no customizations to your .htaccess or wp-config.php.
@robbiejackson
Thanks for following up and confirming the fix. I’m glad it’s working for you. πYou can also use our API filter hook aiosp_opengraph_meta for more control if youβre able to write a bit of PHP.
Try “Use Custom Field for Image” in Social Meta settings and put the name of the custom field you want.

This is likely the issue you’re having. https://semperplugins.com/upgrading-to-2-9-seo-meta-disappear/

Closing this as there’s been no response in almost two months.
Closing this since there’s been no response in over a week.
Since you haven’t shared the URL to your sitemap there isn’t much to go on.
Things to try:
-Set your posts per sitemap page to something lower than 5000, even as low as 500.
-Increase PHP memory, 512 minimum. (Do it in your config file and/or at the host level if you have access.)
-Increase PHP execution time.
-Check “Exclude Images”
-If you’re on shared hosting, switch to a faster hosting environment.Currently the Google Indexing API is only for job postings and livestreams, so we’re not using it at the moment.
We are exploring integrating it later though. All in One SEO Pack doesn’t modify the H1.
Most likely it is another plugin or theme doing this. You can narrow it down with these troubleshooting steps. https://semperplugins.com/documentation/how-to-troubleshoot-issues-with-all-in-one-seo-pack/Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WooCommerce] Category Pagination on nonexistent productsHi @ruthvant
I’m glad to hear you were able to use All in One SEO Pack’s API successfully. π
Would you mind sharing the code snippet so that others with the same issue can benefit?Iβm working with an SEO expert that would like to see the robots meta tag on all pages.
That would be against Google’s guidelines, which is why All in One SEO Pack intentionally doesn’t do it.
If you prefer to follow the advice of this person and go against Google’s recommendation, you can use our API filter hook to modify the behavior.
https://semperplugins.com/documentation/aioseop-robots-meta/FYI β the tag already exists in the page if the settings are noindex or nofollow.
Correct. This is in accordance with Google’s guidelines.
We’re glad to hear that after trying all the alternatives, you’re finding AIOSEOP to be the simplest to use, best results, and unmatched support. π
Thank you for the kind words. πThank you for your kind words. π
