Can I edit the permalinks and just leave the numbers?
So hallsworthb.uk/events/7 for the above?

Thanks for that. It looks as though it is indeed Elementor – and in particular Elementor Pro.
I do have Default Events Template set, yes.
I guess I need to have a word with them.

I have now tried a different theme.
No difference.
I have also removed The Events Calendar and replaced it.
It came back with graduated background (Not sure how I set that) and all data intact, so I assume it is held in the database?
