I have the same issue and even after updating the plugin, it still does not work in IE8. All other browsers are fine right now.
Just the admin area. They all appeared correctly on the front end.
I have done all of the above and it still happens, which is why I posted the issue here. Since then, after a couple refreshes, the widgets and sidebars once again appear. I didn’t make any adjustments, but they are showing again with the plugin activated.
While it seems to have solved itself, just wanted it noted no other plugin caused the issue and it happened with both the Twenty Twelve theme and the Genesis Enterprise child theme the site uses.
I did make the thumbnail adjustment you recommended in another support post to use thumbnails on the listings. Could that have caused an issue?
Anyway, it seems to have fixed itself, but something to watch.
