I totally agree. Please implement restAPI V2 as V1 is totally outphased.
Im afraid in time to come v1 will not work anymore with new wordpress updates as there are also major security issues with V1. Wordfence antivirus and various antivirus plugin has list out major security issue that v1 has.
So Please implement v2.
