Please forget above. I have found a way to solve it. Like chriswhittle had said, it is all about adding another jquery selector.

I added “> Read More… to the Excerpt field inside the post, and the Home page now just show the Feature Image and it’s caption.
Now, the Home page looks very clean and cool.
