Thank you for clarifying and for your promptness, that is understood as a business decision and as a new owner you’d want to recoup your costs even though existing customers may get impacted.

You really had me doubt myself so I actually went back to 3.6.0 and verified that I can use all 5 slides with the free version then I checked 3.7.0 and it was the same and so was 3.8.0 and 3.9. They all allowed me access to the 5 slides. As per the logs, these versions spanned 2 years. It sure doesn’t sound like it was a mistake.

Yes I have but haven’t received a reply hence me posting here.
It is odd that for a while (at least a year) we were able to update all slides. We update the site regularly. I feel that your company has lured customers to use the theme and then added restrictions later.
