Will do. Many thanks for your prompt and helpful reply. Apologies for not being able to do the testing now (due to it being the live site & there being time pressure).

    Thanks for your quick response!

Correct, regarding the theme – I use Ocean WP, the free version and also Elementor (free version) in conjunction with a few extended Elementor plugins (all free versions) and the Ocean WP Extra (free) plugin.

As I am working on a client’s live site, I am not able to easily conduct the suggested test 🙁 In the future, I will do that on a stageing site.

It looks like there might have been an issue with the Mailchimp plugin, as the site owner received a message from WordPress today (one day after the incident):
“Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.
In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, MailChimp.”

Could it be that Mailchimp and the Simple Membership MailChimp Integration plugin were in conflict? No other plugin was recently installed, other than the two Membership plugins.

I now deactivated both plugins and am going through the Ocean WP theme customizer to change the site back to what I initially did. Is that a bad idea?

Thank you so much for your help!!
