smh, looks like I can’t edit the title… it’s meant to say “WordPress REST _api_ always returns default”.

I blame autocorrect 🤷‍♂️

I’m having this exact issue – the REST response always comes back with the default avatar, whether it’s from Gravatar or the “default option” selected with this same plugin.
