The code overriding mentioned in this post has fixed my issue:
I suggest you replace the template_redirect() function with the one in the above post as it makes your plugin much better if it supports passing parameters.
Oh, i have found the reason for this. I was using the “RichTextEditor For WordPress” plugin, and it seems to be causing conflict. When i deactivated it things were saved fine.
