After the change the problem was gone.

if(function_exists())does not break the site and some qTranslate-related plugins use it. But then you may think the plugin works with qTranslate-X/Plus/z but it does not.Anyway. It is as it is.

But finally making this kind of decision is always a double-edged sword.
