In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Role Based Permission to Add EventSorry – got this working myself.
Just needed to add “User Role Editor WordPress plugin” – which provided me with the capability to adjust all permissions for roles, including publication of new events. This is resolved.
Hi Jyoti again – can I use CSS to change the button properties (shape/colour) in the Gutenberg Block? I have had a look at the CSS but it is not obvious to me what I should do, and rather than fiddle (and mess things up) I thought I would ask! Many thanks for you assistance!
Hi some further thoughts:
If it is possible to retrieve login data from Ultimate Member My SQL data to use in the Registration process, then it would seem a small step further to check whether someone is already registered? So rather than Register / De-register, the code checks and knows whether someone is registered or not, and only offers the appropriate option?
This would be a great enhancement!
Yes that is the case! I can get them to register all the details I am interested in. I would ideally like to be able to bring over a non standard field – mobile number too.
That would be fantastic. Fantastic support!
….and another, the new button is not duplicated, but the ‘Already Registered?’ question should show underneath as 2 words beside each other. They currently start immediately after the button, and therefore are split over w lines which is odd.
Can I access the page source code to easily adjust this kind of thing?
Feedback done!
One last thing…. This fixed the duplication problem, but the registrations button is now slightly lost in the right hand block. Before it was a different colour and in a more appropriate place. Will it be possible to use it (once) embedded in the post rather than the block? Is this something that you are working on?
Hey that was fantastic support!! That sorted the problem. Just in case that screenshot ever disappears and people have a similar problem. The fix is:
Registrations > Form Settings > Form Location >>> set it to “Shortcode for Gutenberg Block”.Thank you very much Jyoti!!

I replied by email, but just in case you did not get it, the url for one of the events is:
https://gomojo.me/event/flexible-pub-ride-sunny-weather-dependent/
It now shows 2 lots of ” Registrations are closed for this event ” as I have had to stop people registering. You might need to create an account in order to see this page. I can delete it afterwards no worries.
Does it use MySQL? Is it possible that I have a problem there? I could run some SQL code to check if that would help.
Very grateful for your assistance!`
