Other work around is to set buttons to horizontal.
That brought the buttons back for me too, but it is not an ideal fix. Did this recently happen for you too? If so, I wonder if this is a new bug? I’m about ready to do a fresh reinstall since this is so inconvenient. But I’m really trying to avoid it since it will be days of work to get things reconfigured.
