That’s good to hear.
Could you let us know what exactly the issue was and how you fixed it? That will help other users reading this thread.
Thanks
Under RSS Aggregator > Templates, open the Template editor page for the Template you’re using.
With the Core plugin, there is just one Default Template.
In the Template Options section, set the ‘Title maximum length’ to the desired number of characters for the title. Please note that this will set only the number of characters and not the words.
Does that fulfil your requirement?
This is not possible with our core plugin alone. When you use our premium Feed to Post add-on, you can assign categories to imported posts.
This forum prohibits discussions on premium add-ons, so could you please get in touch with us through our website’s contact form? We will be happy to guide you further.
All the shortcode options are listed on our knowledge base guide here.
Is there any further clarification you’d like?
If images are provided in the RSS feed you’ve set up as a source, you should be able to display them using Templates.
However, like I mentioned, we’ll be unable to further discuss Templates in this forum thread since the rules here do not allow us to discuss premium add-ons.
Could you please get in touch with us through our website’s support contact form?
Thanks.
That’s great to hear, @bobdunn-trainer !
Your review means a lot to us. Thank you for rating us 5 stars.
Thank you @chandrakantmk for the review.
I’m sorry @hmohan this was erroneously marked resolved. I’ve changed the status to unresolved.
We currently don’t a timeline for this fix. Since this Notice does not impact any functionality, you can reduce the log level until we have a fix available.
Please note that WP RSS Aggregator does not republish RSS feeds.
Our plugin imports RSS feeds into Feed Items.
The custom feed that we provide is only a representation of the data imported from multiple feed sources that you set up.
This is why the RSS tags that were present in the original feed source will not necessarily be present in the custom fed.
Tags for the author, date, title and so on, will naturally be present and will contain the information imported by WP RSS Aggregator. However, the other tags will not be present.
It is important to note that our plugin does not republish RSS feeds. It creates a new feed using the imported items.
As for refreshing the custom feed when the content changes, once our plugin re-fetches the items, those items will appear in the custom feed. However, it is not an automatic re-publishing of the original feeds.
There seems to be only one item in the source RSS feed at the time of posting this reply.
The custom feed page results in a 404 error.
Are you currently making any changes?
Thanks for the additional details. We did notice a problem with the way YouTube videos are being embedded after the recent WordPress update, so we’re planning a fix to handle this.
Since Prepend to Content is a feature of the premium Feed to Post add-on, we’ll be unable to discuss this issue further. This forum does not allow discussions on premium add-ons, so please get in touch with us through our support contact form.
With the core plugin, there is only one default template that includes the title, publish date, source name and author name.
To include images, our premium Templates add-on as described on our announcement post should help.
If you’d like to know more about Templates, please get in touch with us through our website since this forum prohibits discussions on premium add-ons.
@decisiveliberty Can you please link to the RSS feed you’re using as the feed source?
Thanks.
@dougmbrockbank For every archive page created with WordPress, an RSS feed is created by default. WP RSS Aggregator will automatically detect the RSS feed when you add an archive page in the URL field of the Feed Source Details section, and use the data in the feed to curate content on your site.
Thanks @decisiveliberty for sharing the information. You can also refer to our knowledge base article on how to find an RSS feed.
@dfgodoy Can you check if your site’s caching plugin is preventing the latest items from appearing in the custom feed’s display?
Please let us know if clearing the cache helps.
