In reply to: Common Tables for MultiSite, Automatic Post for Categoriesfor 3, I am thinking of creating mini posts inside a post containing
a) mini-post information
b) user who created the mini post
c) date created
d) value where this minipost will be inserted.Example:
Post: Cities (Which will pull up latest values for information regarding the city which includes)
Minipost 1 City Name: New York (This cannot be edited by users)
Minipost 2 City Population (Latest value is added by user x)
Minipost 2 Country (Latest value is added by user x, This cannot be edited by users)
Minipost 2 Continent (Latest value is added by user x, This cannot be edited by users)
Minipost 2 City Population (Latest value is added by user x, This cannot be edited by users)
Minipost 2 City Population (City Charter Day latest value added by user a)And I want to pull the latest values of Miniposts to the Post.

In reply to: Multisite database queryI’m not a professional at this but I believe that WPMU can handle a lot of tables. Some blogs reach a thousand blogs. The database can still handle it. An example is wordpress.com – composed of thousands of blogs.
But going back to your question – there will come a time when you would have to adjust the hosting to more significant traffic.
