I wanted to update to play the video automatically. To do this change both instances of:
playerUrl , “&hl=en&fx=1& in the latest_youtube_videos.php playerUrl , “&hl=en&fx=1&autoplay=1
I also updated both instances of the embedded video size from 170×137 to 250×201 to fit my sidebar. Again this is very easily done by editing latest_youtube_videos.php

This appears in line #256 of kpg.class.php that comes with the source files for the plugin:
