this is because mastodon is using the summary instead of the full content for articles. You can use the „status“ post format in the block editor to tell mastodon to use the full content.

But if it might be on hosting level, it might be a mod-sec issue because of POST requests with a application/activity+json Content-Type/Accept header.
That is not exactly how it works…
You have to link from one blog-post to the second… then the first blogpost will show up as a reaction (comment) on the second blog-post.
