In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Show Spotify in statsDid some googling. I like googling.
1: Spotify caches, yes
“Podbeanβs statistics system cannot track Spotify plays, since they cache your content and redistribute it from their servers.”
2: But there apparently is some magical api that gives statistics back (couldn’t find anything about it further though)
“They are also coming out with an API that will allow hosting companies to display Spotify-specific playback statistics.”

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Show Spotify in statsThat’s fascinating, the downloading-part! Do you have a link with more info?
And yes, then it makes perfect sense that SSP can’t include those numbers into its own stats. Pity, but so it goes.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] WordPress Tag for EpisodeThanks, gonna try it!

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] WordPress Tag for Episode@craig good to hear! Do note that multiple meta things don’t work with the podcast posts. It’s not only tags (in my case), but also author pages, archive pages, etc. It’s like nothing meta sticks to the podcasts post.
To whom it may concern: the solution is to create posts instead of podcasts. See also https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/wordpress-tag-for-episode/#post-10437396

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] WordPress Tag for EpisodeShort update: I’ve manually copied all the existing podcasts to posts, and now all the problems are solved. It was cumbersome, for real, but little feels better than problems that are solved π

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] WordPress Tag for Episode@psykro just to make sure that you understand me correctly: the podcast-via-post-method (posts -> new post) does work (tags work), whereas the podcast-via-the-plugin-method (podcast – add new) doesn’t work (tags don’t work).

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] WordPress Tag for Episode2: Yes, it works if I add a podcast as a post message! I just created https://www.doodenverderf.nl/podcast/dood-verderf-juni-2018-madball-obscura-ghost-en-meer/, and now https://www.doodenverderf.nl/tag/god-is-an-astronaut/ works.
Apparently, podcasts that I create via ‘podcasts’ aren’t really seen as posts. Does this mean that I shouldn’t use the ‘add podcast’ functionality?
(and if so, is there a way to simply copy my existing podcasts to normal posts?)

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] WordPress Tag for EpisodeThanks for your response! Here are my answers:
1: no, only ‘posts’ is enabled
2: as a podcast! I never knew that I could also add a podcast as a normal post. I’ll try it!
Is there a way to copy my podcasts to posts?

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] WordPress Tag for EpisodeI have the same problem (see also https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/tags-how-can-i/) with tags. The problem is also that the tags are indexed by Google, but all refer to an empty page. Would love to see this solved!
Hi there! Thanks for the response.
Nope, this was already checked. A solution would be much appreciated, since I know have tags that are empty, both for the internal search engine as for external ones.
Just to make sure that I make myself clear:
http://www.doodenverderf.nl/podcast/dood-verderf-december-2017/ contains the tag ‘tribulation’. But if I click it (http://www.doodenverderf.nl/tag/tribulation/), then the results are empty. So the podcast episodes do create tags, but they’re not properly coupled to the posts that contain them.
Any help would be appreciated!

In reply to: [Plugin: Contact Form 7] reply-to address does not workI just read on http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/276107?replies=35 that another plugin (such as the mailfrom-plugin) might overwrite the reply-to address. Disabling such a plugin didn’t solve the problem for me, but it might help for others.

In reply to: [Plugin: Contact Form 7] reply-to address does not workNot even almost one?

In reply to: [Plugin: Contact Form 7] reply-to address does not workSounds promising, but it didn’t work. The message now shows in its header what the correct reply-to address is, but when replying to the message in gmail, the ‘from’ address (and not the reply-to address) is used.
