After that: The Cache-Plugin WP Rocket caused the problems.
I will get back with them to find out how to set up WP Rocket so that it does not interfere with OSM.Br, Joerg

Very likely that it has nothing to do with the theme Pinboard. I am using Pinboard since years and it is very fast. At least 10 different websites: Pagespeed can be very fast or slow, but there can be so many factors responsible for it. The theme pinboard is not the cause for such a slow pagespeed, a delay by one or two seconds: Maybe, but not 20-30 seconds.
Nevertheless: Pinboard may become obsolete, since the last update was in 2015. Therefore I am looking for another theme. At present I find ASTRA to be a good canditate.
