hi Dave,

ok installation went well. but after doing a initial scan, am not sure if I should worried about all these critical reports:
1. Filename: wp-content/deleteme.059195f7cfe34211be84a3e5f14d3894.php
  Details: This file appears to be installed or modified by a hacker to perform malicious activity. If you know about this file you can choose to ignore it to exclude it from future scans. The matched text in this file is: eval(base64_decode(
2. Filename: wp-admin/includes/upgrade.php
  Details: This WordPress core file has been modified and differs from the original file distributed with this version of WordPress.
3. Filename: wp-includes/functions.php
  Details: This WordPress core file has been modified and differs from the original file distributed with this version of WordPress.
4. Filename: wp-includes/load.php
  Details: This WordPress core file has been modified and differs from the original file distributed with this version of WordPress.
5. .user.ini
  File is publicly accessible and may expose source code or sensitive information about your site. Files such as this one are commonly checked for by scanners and should be made inaccessible. Alternately, some can be removed if you are certain your site does
  not need them. Sites using the nginx web server may need manual configuration changes to protect such files.

By the way, when I click on Wordfence Dashboard, it is prompting that installation is incomplete. should I resume installation?

that is resolved. would you suggest I do a fresh install of wordpress? is there any settings that I must reset before uninstall?

hi Dave

after uploading wordfence-waf.php I am able to log into the WordPress dashboard with no internal server error.

i have also tried upload test.php, error_log is “no value”.

what’s the next step? My blog post still display not found.

hi Dave,

I have logged in via FTP and renamed the folder as wordfence-old. However after log into wordpress admin I see a Internal 500 server error message. I have set wp-config.php debug to true to see if you can troubleshoot further. thank you.
