By default, the plugin is supposed to launch a new web browser window to display the results. Make sure there is no other window open on your laptop, and you may need to make sure your popup blocker is turned off (at least in order to debug).
If you want the results to show within the plugin, you will need to apply for one at TaxiFareFinder.com. Go to their Developers page or Contact Us page to request one.

After installation of the plugin, the WordPress administrator must configure the widget in WP Admin by applying settings under Appearance–>Widget. The “Entity Handle” must be set to a city, and this sets the taxi rate to be used. The listing of handles can be found at http://www.taxifarefinder.com/plugin.php

This issue has been addressed in 1.0.1. If you are seeing issues, please delete the plugin and re-install.
