Same. π
Hey @uriahs-victor,
Fellow plugin developer here and love your plugin.
The Facebook connector doesn’t seem to be working any longer.
I can email a screencast to you directly, but do not want to post it here for security reasons.
Kind regards,
Dylan
Hey @otump,
Thanks for opening a ticket and attaching your site.
I opened your site and had a look at it’s load times. The widget does seem to load very late, but most likely because I queued the script in the footer of the site (performance purposes.)
However, the overall time to load the site takes a pretty long time and I don’t want to hunt down what is causing it, but I did take a look at the 2 scripts my plugins adds: http://imgur.com/a/77oLg
You can see in that image that it’s only adding ~466ms (my script to help add App ID if you have a custom one) and ~253ms (Facebook’s SDK) respectively.
These are loaded async, so other scripts are able to load at the same time.
I recommend you try disabling the plugin and running it through GTMetrix or another speed testing tool to try to find the bottleneck.
If the site loads perfectly with it disabled, then please let me know & I’ll take another look. π
Kind regards,
Dylan

In reply to: [Simple Social Page Widget & Shortcode] Doesn’t work with Mozilla FirefoxHey @plexatone,
I’d love to help you out!
It should definitely work in Mozilla. Are you logged into Facebook on that Mozilla browser?
I’m sure you tested it on Chrome while you had a Facebook session cookie set, but were you logged in on Mozilla? π
Kind regards,
Dylan

In reply to: [Simple Social Page Widget & Shortcode] annoying message in wp-adminHey @webgalway,
Ratings play an important role in ranking WordPress plugins – this is why I ask for a review. Otherwise, anyone can just rank high in plugin search, even if the plugin is useless. I hope the plugin was useful for you and you were just annoyed by the messaging. If so, I can definitely update the messaging if you have some recommendations. π
I’m always open for feedback as you can see I reply to EVERY SINGLE reviewer.
Kind regards,
Dylan

In reply to: [Simple Social Page Widget & Shortcode] Using img tag in Title areaHey @revived,
Great question!
By default, WordPress escapes the title output of a Widget – this is for security reasons.
Your fix is definitely a good solution. π

Dylan
