The error does not reproduce in Chrome on mobile. However, sometimes, when going from page to page, I do see the same keyline boxes with alt text for the previous page; once the new page loads, this seems to resolve.
I tried inserting that code, as well as replacing this.perform_check = true; with this.perform_check=false;. PictureFill seems to yield better results than the other methods, but the error is still happening.
Sometimes, the images actually load, and then turn into the keyline boxes with alt text. I wonder if the iOS is detecting that they’re too big to load and then deciding to show a broken image instead.
I should mention that the error only occurs when on a LTE connection and does not appear on a wireless connection.
Any advice you might have would be appreciated.
