In reply to: [Volunteer Sign Up Sheets] Confirmation emails registering an errorI was able to solve this by creating a Confirmation Email template and assigning that as the default for all confirmations – so the lack of default email templates may have been the issue.
Minor issue – the From name and address on the emails doesn’t match the From name and address in the email templates. It seems to be using the From email address set in the email settings of the main plugin.
Thanks, Stan

In reply to: [Volunteer Sign Up Sheets] Formatting sign-up pagesThanks again for this feedback. I’ve exercised (I think) about every option available to me by the plugin settings (including the Customizer settings), and generally, the page layout of the signup table itself is OK. After buying the Customizer and setting it up as one table for the whole signup sheet, it may meet our needs.
The main formatting issues I still have are in the headers (title, chair, etc). I was able to adjust the layout of the “meeting details” because the plugin gives me a text-edit box that allows me to enter actual HTML code – if that option were available for the other header fields it would be a lot more flexible, without having to get into CSS coding.
The other significant issue is that when actually signing up for a task, the formatting again has huge amounts of white-space (2+ screen-pages just to enter the 4 fields needed to sign up to one task).
I’ve tried overriding the main plugin CSS with the Customizer CSS but this has no impact on the issues I’m concerned about – though it does allow me to adjust format of some text fields.
I’m not familiar with CSS coding – and hoping I don’t need to build an entire new area of expertise just to get this to work…
And I’ve hit another issue, with email confirmations. That is a different topic so I’ll open another forum topic for it.
Thanks, Stan

In reply to: [Volunteer Sign Up Sheets] Formatting sign-up pagesSorry – this site won’t let me paste an image…. What it shows:
- several blank lines before / after Event Title
- Headers (Event Title, Chair, “Details” are huge, but the actual detail description font is tiny, with multiple blank lines between each line of detail description
- 2-3 blank lines between each task on a given day of the recurring event.

In reply to: [Volunteer Sign Up Sheets] Formatting sign-up pagesHi Steve – thanks for getting back to me. I purchased the Customizer extension, and it helps quite a bit. But there are is still a lot of empty space and other formatting glitches that I’d love to eliminate if I could.
Here is a screen-shot, which I’ve zoomed out so as to show you the signups for one day – in full size, the headers + 1 day is more than a screen height:
All of that text formatting is within the Signups plugin (not on the web page), so not amenable to WordPress format adjustments.
I’ve created a Custom format, and eliminated all padding – but it didn’t change anything. The customizer extension gives lots of control over column and group headers, but no control over the event/chair/details fonts, or spacing between any of the text lines. Can you suggest how I can adjust those fonts / eliminate the blank lines?
As for changing my site CSS – I don’t want to override the way headers / spacing works for the whole site, just for the signup sheet.
Thanks, Stan
