In reply to: [WP Rollback - Rollback Plugins and Themes] rest_no_route errorI’ve seen a few reports, but I can’t reproduce it still without more information.
It has to be either a plugin conflict (maybe a Security plugin blocking REST routes), a hosting issue, or a combination of the two.
So, I’m not going to keep taking shots in the dark to fix it without access to an environment where it’s happening, and I can modify the code to debug it.
We’re sorry to hear you’ve had issues but please know that the free version has been in no way crippled since the move to iThemes Security. In fact we’ve been releasing new features to it, such as network Brute Force protection and others.

We’ve tested this with a subdirectory and root install and well as multi-site with subdirectories, subdomains and domain mapping none of which have seen the problem after about 4.0.7. Can you please email us on our contact form so we might be better able to reproduce what you are seeing?
We will have an update later this afternoon to address this. The issue had been due to a fix other users were experiencing. The new fix will remove the line altogether.
If you would like to test the fix (this is a BETA link so please don’t do so on a production site) a few hours early you can use this:

The “error” message is confirming that you’ve been locked out due to too many 404s. While I understand it can be annoying, that means the feature is functioning correctly. You can learn more about this in the 404 section here – Common Issues
