“… i cleared my cache and cookies, and suddenly it works”.
clearing cookies and cache also fixed the problem for me.

i also have the stinky problem mentioned above. the tag cloud does not seem to update with new tags. Other than that the tag cloud rules!!!1
I’m using WP 2.3.3 and ctc 4.1.
