Hey @clebing
Charming feedback, thank you! We put a lot of work into making sure WP Mail SMTP just works, so it’s great to hear it’s delivering exactly that.
Hi @misty80
I am glad to help,
You are correct, configuring a secondary/backup mailer connection isn’t available on the free version. You’d only have access to a single primary SMTP connection on that tier.
Hope that clears it up! Have a good one.
Hi @franklin0 ,
We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
Thanks!

Thanks for the 5 stars!
Hi @lucianoa ,
WP Mail SMTP does not have an automatic resend option, this means emails will fail if the mailer (smtp provider) connection fails.
Mailers can retry soft bounces a few times, but this will happen only after your site succesfully handed emails to them for sending.
I hope this helps.
Hi @franklin0
WP Mail SMTP takes control of wp_mail() function, but other plugin settings can override it.
Please make sure WooCommerce has the same From Email you are looking to use.
WooCommerce → Settings → Emails, scroll to the bottom, and check the “From” name and address fields there.
Please let me know how it went.
Hi @polinsys
That’s exactly what we aim for! WP Mail SMTP is built to take the guesswork out of email delivery — just a straightforward setup and emails that reach the inbox. Glad it’s working for you!

Hi @naielah
Thank you for reaching out — this is a completely valid concern and we’re glad you asked.
What you saw is a standard Google OAuth authorization screen. The permissions listed (including “delete”) are part of a bundled Gmail API scope that Google requires for any app that needs to send email on your behalf.
That said, you are always in full control. You can revoke the plugin’s access to your Google account at any time by visiting:
myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps with account accessRegarding GDPR — the plugin does not access or process your email content, so this doesn’t conflict with our compliance commitments.
Feel free to ask any other questions.
Have a good one!
Hey @paulmaria
I am glad to help, since WP Mail SMTP handles the wp_mail() function globally, when you send emails from your site, the Force From Email setting, should be applied globally, regardless of the plugin triggering the emails.
Are you having issues with any particular email not respecting this option?
Please let me know.
Thanks.

In reply to: [WP Mail Logging] PHP Deprecated warningHey @henk-barreveld
Thank you for reporting this and for the kind words — glad you find the tool useful!
You’re right that it’s not critical, but it’s definitely worth fixing. We’ve passed the details along to our development team to investigate the PHP 8.3 deprecation notice in WPML_MessageSanitizer.php.
Thanks again for taking the time to let us know!
Have a good one!
