Thank you Yordan – super simple solution!

Thank you both – I truly value the high level of support you’re providing. Thank you for ‘crossing the streams’ with your replies, it is very refreshing!

    To update:

I have reinstalled and activated the updated CleanTalk – thank you.

The bulk delete plugins are helpful to know about but a bit disappointing in one respect: the WooCommerce features are only at PRO level in both cases. However, WP Bulk Delete offers a US$29 single site subscription, whereas Smart Manager PRO (name changed from Advanced Bulk Edit) starts at US$149. I may just start nibbling away at the bulk spam orders with 30-50 a day and see how I go. I will keep WP Bulk Delete in the plugins list for future reference, just in case!

Again, thanks for helping a self-taught store owner get by under a bot attack.

    Hi @katereji

Thanks, I appreciate the assistance. I tried to adjust settings but obviously not adequately. I”’ve enabled “Check anonymous users when they add new items to the cart” and hope that helps, assuming that means lack of email address.

l’ll post further topics to your support, but to wind up this request: are there are recomemndations on how to quickly delete 2000+ pending payments under Orders in WooCommerce – faster than 20 at a time?

Thank you. I apologise for the non-response – I’ve had a very busy week. I will look at the Cloudflare Turnstile options.

Presently, the order notifications have started showing up as Pending Payment instead of Failed Payment, and CleanTalk doesn’t appear to have caught up yet. It’s mind boggling and hard to see what the point is.

Thank you for that information. Are all of these effective against bots? Is there one that stands out for my situation as owner of a tiny store? I realise it’s hard for you to recommend one, and you may not be allowed to, but I’m a bit wary of getting too plug-in heavy.

And no, I’ve no screenshot and can’t get one, as it’s not doing it any more! It appeared outside my browser.

The main change recently was adding Google for WooCommerce, but if it were that, it stopped it happening. I still don’t know what was creating it.

Thank you for the quick reply.

It’s certainly a mystery … I’m using Chrome and Outlook. I’ve been searching through the Plugins but can’t see anything that would do this, or that has been changed.

Thank you! I tried again with the plugins deactivated, and the process continued this time. It was actually the ‘enter payment details’ screen that wasn’t appearing – once it did and I completed it, the Continue button activated.

LB, thank you! I’ve now tidied up as you suggested and it’s all working fine.

The eBook issue seems to be resolved. I’ve still no idea why that happened.

Thanks so much again. I’ve learned a lot through this process, painful as it’s been!

Further – I believe that I have just cracked the zones overriding problem.

    1. Each flat rate is now set to Calculate per order. This didn’t solve it alone, but along with:
    2. Each flat rate is now named differently.
    3. The free/shipping included for Devices is listed first in Zones, then the $12 supplement. It only works this way round, but at least it’s working.

Please may I keep this open as I test out the international issue with eBooks…

Edited to add: Thank you for your patience and help with this. I was so eager to try the changes that I forgot to say that!

I now have two zones and classes for Australia – Australia Device and Australia pHix. The first has a flat rate of $0, the second a flat rate of $12.

This has enabled me to narrow down the problem. It’s the list of zones and the order they appear in within Settings for Shipping Zones. If I move Australia pHix to the top, everything in Australia defaults to the $12 flat rate instead. I am simply reversing the problem.

Why is this list order overriding the Shipping Classes?

Thank you for this. To confirm, I now have $12 under Flat Rate as previously, and now also $12 under the Shipping Class. However, I am still seeing FREE shipping at checkout. Could this be associated with the Shipping Zones and response to an Australian address overriding the Shipping Class?

I am wondering if the physical goods shipped in Australia should have their own class, so I can differentiate better.

Here is the product URL for the supplement: https://thehorsesback.com/product/phix-australia/

Here is a product URL for an eBook – please can you tell me if it is now possible to purchase this outsdie Australia (see original post)? https://thehorsesback.com/product/kikkuli-method-of-horse-training/

    Hello again

    Now for the eBooks.

U<span style=”font-size: inherit;”>nder Product Data, these are listed as Simple Product, Virual and <span style=”font-size: inherit; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);”>Downloadable both checked, No shipping </span></span>info is visible.

So, under the WC General Settings, I have:
    – Sell to all countries
    – Ship to specific countries only
    – – Specific Countries are: Australia, New Zealand

Default Customer location – No location by default

Do you see anything problematic there? I can provide the shipping zones and classes if that helps.
