In reply to: [Woo Shop Slider Lite] Wooslider loading after the page contentHi Aleksander,
Thank you for looking into this issue for me, but I found out what was causing the problem: I had checked the option in Jetpack to “speed up images”. Once I disabled this feature, the slider loads with the rest of the page beautifully. It wasn’t a wooslider issue at all.
Thank you for authoring such a great slider!

In reply to: [Spacious] Spacious theme – background imagesPlease help me – I love this theme, but I want to place a background image (tiled paper texture) in the content area of the entire site, including the header. This morning I woke up thinking that maybe it has something to do with the skin…
Right now the site is on a development server, the url is:
http://caitgroup.com/devolivetree
I have tried the following, but nothing is working:
#page {background-color: transparent !important; }
/* Masthead Background Image Cover#page {background-color: transparent !important; }
#content {
background-image: url(“http://caitgroup.com/devolivetree/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/paper-texture-pattern-235×235.jpg”);
background-repeat: repeat;
background-position: center top;#main {
background-image: url(“http://caitgroup.com/devolivetree/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/paper-texture-pattern-235×235.jpg”) !important;
background-repeat: repeat;
background-position: center top;

In reply to: Convert existing bootstrap site to wordpressHow would I be able to connect the new (wordpress) site to the existing database?

In reply to: Convert existing bootstrap site to wordpressWhat would you suggest as first steps in making the site accessible via the WordPress dashboard? Should I install WordPress into the root directory of the site? Would that do the trick, or do I need to import (I don’t know how to do that)? I’m kind of stuck, and I really appreciate your help.
The new site I began can be found at olivetreedev.olivetreemortuary.com

In reply to: Convert existing bootstrap site to wordpressBut I don’t want to convert the site to a wordpress theme – I just want to use wordpress to develop the site.
The previous designer is overseas and very unresponsive. He did not have a clear understanding of the client’s needs, therefore I need to redesign the site. WordPress, with it’s plugins and widgets, will make my job infinitely more manageable.
I actually created a new site on a development server in wordpress, but the client said that the security configuration involved such a tedious process that he wants me to redesign the existing site so that those configurations can be retained in place. Is there a safe and relatively easy way to utilize the wordpress dashboard to edit the site?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Taking over an existing wp site – missing wp-adminThanks, Rob. But after downloading the entire website onto a local drive, I realized that the existing site is a bootstrap site. I’ve been able to make some small modifications using Dreamweaver, but I would really like to explore the possibility of converting the site to WordPress. I think it’s best to close this topic and start a new one.
