well maybe it’ll help maybe it won’t.
Not sure if this is obvi to everyone else but I have an account with AN Hosting and I was able to create a database and database user name in my cpanel account for my domain. I called AN Hosting support and the representative helped me out.
We accessed my public IP Address using what’s my IP address in the google search bar, it should come up above all the results.
During installation with webmatrix i went to Use existing database (vs making a new one), entered the IP Address in for DB Server, my DB name and PW that I created in CPanel and woopie WordPress downloaded. YAY !I’ve seen a couple people mention security issues using the IP address ; anyone have any opinion on that, i’d love to make sure my website is protected and secure especially once i start collecting email addresses of subcribers.

In reply to: wp-admin not found after attempting to change urli thought that’s what it was going to call for eventually. i’m actually going to try Microsoft’s WebMatrix. But now i know cant move files without renaming . thank you for response. =] Also i was following set up using WordPress all in one for dummies in case that helps for good feedback.
