The auto play options are under Slideshow Options > Timeout. They are set to auto play by default. It’s not a global setting so it can be set individually for each slideshow.
I think I’ll change the Timeout label to Autoplay.

The error message you are getting is quite explicit:
1. Required plugin is missing.
2. Please install plugin: Media Library Custom Fields

Grid Gallery with Custom Links Pro doesn’t have the random images option either.

Do not uninstall the plugin. Deactivate it.
I use this plugin on the daily basis and haven’t noticed any issues with drag and drop.

In reply to: [Grid Gallery with Custom Links] Additional CaptionsThis plugin is designed to add hyperlinks to both image and a caption. There is no simple way to remove a link from the Caption 1.
You can use CSS to change how the hyperlink looks like. The formatting comes from your theme “h4 a” style.
There is no need to purchase a premium version if you only want to change the hyperlink style.
The Pro version has an option to add captions that are not hyperlinked. You can also add a custom stylesheet to have a full control over visual aspects of the Grid Gallery with Custom Links Pro.
