@guido07111975, thanks for the follow up. I did look at SMTP plugins but they seemed to be for ppl who were sending messages from their websites not receiving them (tho I guess in a way VSCF does send emails). But the VSCF had always worked very well so I never gave the matter another thought.
In the situation last week, some messages weren’t arriving at all (ppl were saying they’d been trying to contact me in post comments). Test messages I sent did get through, but often hours later. Anyway, I did finally install a SMTP plugin, and now messages are arriving straightaway.

Hi Guido, a few messages have started coming through. So it looks like things are OK. Some messages still aren’t getting through, so it maybe it’s a filtering issue of some sort that I’ll look into. Thanks again 🙂
