I see – thanks for letting me know. I’m in contact with a rep at PlayerFM so I will pass the word along.
Even with the html validation issues resolved, the overlap still only happens when the slider is on the page. Something is affecting the other links on the page, but I’ve scoured the css and can’t find it.

You can see how the link text is overlapping the normal text around it. I removed the slider shortcode and the problem went away, but I’m not sure what could be causing the interference.
