the problem seems to have solved itself. My hoster didn’t do anything, I did not change anything, but for some reason it started working 12 hours later using the still activated SMTP Mail Plugin.

Ah thanks, the forum works now – although they have a different problem.
I don’t get any error message, there is just no emails send whatsoever, even for new users registered. I think, this might be a general wordpress Problem for me, not specifically the Pie Register plugin. Already contacted my hoster and will write in the official forums for further inquiries.

Correction: I tried going to the official forum and website of the plugin, but both are unreachable sadly.

I do not have the WP Super Cache Plugin, although a bunch of others. I could provide you with a list if you want?
Here they are: Admin Menu Editor, Better WordPress Google XML Sitemaps, Capability Manager Enhanced, Easy Contact Forms, Easy Table, Jetpack by WordPress.com, Page2Cat, Pie Register, PP Collaborative Editing Pack, PP Content Teaser, Smart Youtube Pro, Toggler, UpdraftPlus, WPDM Extended Short-codes, WP Easy Gallery Pro and WPtouch Mobile Plugin.
When I first tested the plugin (pre-2.7 I believe), everything worked fine. Then I made some updates and the file corruption on download request happens, apparently it seems to be a general bug because of the many replies this has gathered.
I’d be glad for a solution or even an ETA to the solution because I got users actively wanting to use the system and now loudly complaining (understandbly) because all of their downloads are broken.
I tried manually rolling back to 2.7.0. but that broke the whole website for some reason..

In reply to: [Download Manager] File corruptionNo, sterilizie, I mean if I want to open the downloaded PDF files, Acrobat/Adobe Reader literally says the file is corrupted and can’t open it. If I grab them per FTP from the directory, they open fine.

I ask because I tried the contact formular but never got an answer through that.

In reply to: [WordPress MU Sitewide Tags Pages] Featured Images aren't carried overI just checked via jQuery(‘.slideshow img’) for image tags. On the sub site with the original posts, they appear fine.
They even appear fine for my ‘Latest Posts’ on the main site, they appear fine there and reference the correct images from the subsite.
But for the slider, there aren’t even any img tags created.

Have you got any idea why this problem exists?
