So my provider changed Max Allowed to 16MB (16777216 bytes) and all is now well.

So i have removed the plugin and uploaded as suggested. When I go to activate I get the message
Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page. and its referring to this page – https://eucara.org/wp-admin/admin.php?page=mailpoet-landingpage
if i escape and then look at the plugins pages i do now see settings but when i select them I get Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page and its reffering to https://eucara.org/wp-admin/admin.php?page=mailpoet-settings
additionally the Word press dashboards has these two errors

Next MailPoetVendor\Doctrine\DBAL\Exception\DriverException: An exception occurred while executing a query: Got a packet bigger than ‘max_allowed_packet’ bytes in /var/www/vhosts/eucara.org/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/vendor-prefixed/doctrine/dbal/src/Driver/API/MySQL/ExceptionConverter.php:96
No changes have beem made on the server side and the max_allowed_packet is 1048576

al was working fine the when I logged to the site as an admin the message where there in the site summary, So i deactivated the plugin initially, no when I try to activate the plugin I get the message –
Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page. and the URL is mysite/wp-admin/admin.php?page=mailpoet-landingpage
and then in the dashboards summary the errors are there – I could try deleting it and reinstalling but I wil of course lose my newsletters etc ?
