thank you for your quick response.
Well I now managed to make it work with the following workaround (maybe that could help someone else):
– export page as blox layout zip
– create a new layout (not page!) and import the page into the layout
– enter [travelers-map] shortcode into the layout as desired
– create new plain wordpress page (no blox layout page)
– put nothing but the shortcode for the desired layout into the page
Et voila – working travelers map within a blox page/layout LOL 🙂

I figured out that the markers are included in a fifth parameter. Well the tutorial https://wp-events-plugin.com/tutorials/modifying-event-location-google-maps/ was a little misleading and should maybe made clearer.
