Thanks for getting back so quickly. You’ve confirmed what I suspected about traffic sizes. 🙁
In case it’s of any use, I’ve just installed Tweetview-Widget, which appears to be working and whose changelog says it incorporated the Twitter API change a fortnight or so ago (http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/plugins/tweetview-widget/changelog/). Thanks again, Johnhi Tim, I’ve just installed Jetpack 1.9.2 in the hope of finding a Twitter feed widget that works, but am sadly getting the error <p>Error: Twitter did not respond. Please wait a few minutes and refresh this page.</p>.
As huygens-25 suggested, is it worth investigating the state of comms between host and Twitter ? With almost every widget I’ve tried there seems to be a glitch.
Thanks for your help. John
Thanks very much. I’ll certainly try that for the Webmaster Tools verification : thank you for suggesting it.
Is there also a way to get the Analytics javascript verification code into the <head> of the Maintenance Mode page ? (I see that the changelog for version 1.8.0 says ‘Include all scripts’, but perhaps that’s different ?)
Thanks again, John
