after successful login, the system still shows PleaseLoginNoticePage with a status of user logged in
This is because you selected that behavior in the plugin settings: non-logged users will be redirected to PleaseLoginNoticePage. You can select the Group page instead and your problem will be solved.
but not the group page which I want to show
The group page should be accessible now for the logged-in user, that is what the plugin does.
What can I do to fix this problem?
Maybe you can filter your custom login form to redirect the users to the group page. I don’t know right now and I don’t think I can update the plugin to fix your problem.
Basically, you can redirect the user to the page that you choose in the plugin settings and the BuddyPress pages will be accesible for them. This is how the plugin works.
