ESMI,the reason I do not think “plugin” is at fault is that, neither the Crocodoc plugin nor WordPress’ other built-in options work either.

I am new to websites and WordPress myself. There are two places I know of to address this problem. Both in the Dashboard of course. One is under Pages and the other is under Appearance. See if you have an extra Page named Categories. Also see if you have a Menu option under Appearance. If you have an extra page named Categories, try deleting it. If your Menu under Appearance is set up to display Pages, then see if you have one named Categories there. Either place try deleting it. As far as I know it is listed in one of those two places in order to show up on your site’s menu. Hope that works!

I spent hours searching these forums trying to find a fix. I found a post that suggested deleting the Google Embedder Plugin and reloading it. That didn’t work! I had never configured the plugin but I went back to look at the configuration to make sure the enhance mode was unchecked. No fix. I tried different computers, different Internet access, deleting cache, deleting history. Currently I have contacted the owner of the plugin to see if he can help. I don’t even know that the plugin is the problem. For all I know, WordPress is the problem!

Google Document Embedder is the one that WordPress suggested in the video on uploading a resume. That was the exercise I could not complete. I followed the instructions in the video. It was video lesson 7 under the Getting Started Wizard Building a Website.

I got a 404 error after deleting the HOME page. I was able to fix it by going to the “trash” bin and restoring the HOME page. I hope this helps.
