Andrew, thank you for the reply. An Automattic rep asked me to get your input on this issue, so I passed along your comments. Hopefully, your concern about Jetpack Markdown’s breaking Gutenberg will encourage the developers to come up with a solution quickly.
I appreciate that your wpautop toggle is “nondestructive.”
