Have you checked your spam box in your email? I usually find the emails in my spam box.

The blocking will expire after 15 minutes or some hours later.

Yes, it is possible. But not by using this plugin. This Better WP Security is used for improving security website.

For hiding parts or website totally, you may try these plugins:
– jonradio Private Site
– Friends Only
– User Access Manager
