I think this is over my head. I have everything set up and the page is loading. There are some styling items to change later though.

The normal editor is missing from the add new post page and the edit post page. The only way I can get anything to post is the Quick Draft form on the Dashboard home page. And even then the normal editor window does not show. There is a custom editor on the page by a different name though.

Another concern is the future of this blog. All of this work may be broken by a future update also because the site is not using a child theme.

Thank you for responding Steve. I have done as you suggested before making this post. The page where one would make a blog entry does not have the normal input, only a text area for a media file. The page templates only have custom pages. The default page template is not the normal one you would expect. Looking in the files through ftp revealed that some of these files are actually not there. Would there be any reason to remove them? Is there a way to restore those files that will not destroy the website?
