We are sorry to hear about your bad experience with the plugin. The advertisements, which are present in the Yoast SEO dashboard and elsewhere, are necessary to support the ongoing maintenance and development of the free version of the plugin, benefiting millions of users. This also involves promoting the premium version as a means to sustain our operations.
Despite this, the free version of Yoast SEO is regularly updated with new features and improvements, which also demands significant resources.
If you have encountered any links or blog posts on our site promoting the premium version in a manner you found inconsistent with our usual tone; your feedback would be invaluable. It would allow us to address any concerns with our team.
Rest assured, we are continuously working on improving our products and services. If you need assistance or if you have problems with any of the Yoast SEO features, feel free to create a forum topic here. Thanks for the feedback, @l00ki!

Hi @johnweisz!
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We acknowledge your preference for fewer ads in the free plugin. Yoast SEO exhibits a limited set of ads/notifications in specific backend areas. We made sure that these particular ads and notifications are placed in areas that should not hinder your normal use of the plugin.
As you mentioned, you have the option to disable the ads in the Yoast SEO plugin by modifying the plugin code (either by editing the plugin files yourself or using a third-party plugin) or by opting for Yoast SEO Premium.Hi @nwm2006!
Thank you for sharing your feedback!
Regarding your concern, although the Yoast plugin is unable to recognize content added using a Recipe plugin, we do have an integration with WP Recipe Maker to automatically add Schema.org structured data to your posts and pages. So, the necessary schema data is taken care of by the Yoast plugin. As for content analysis, the Yoast plugin analyzes the default WordPress content areas only, like the title, URL, and the main content box (WordPress editor). If you are adding your content through other plugins or theme content boxes (as most page builders do), Yoast SEO may not be able to detect it by default. Currently, we are compatible with the Elementor page builder. The Yoast SEO Elementor integration is free to use for everyone; no premium or add-on is required for core functionality.
Are you using a custom theme content box or a page builder? Page builders commonly use a custom editor designed by their team. Because plugins rely on the default editor, some page builders make the data entered into their editor available in the default editor. In these cases, Yoast SEO will see and analyze the content as if created with the default editor. When this is not the case, an integration feature must be available to parse the page builder content into Yoast SEO for analysis.
If you are using a plugin or theme that doesn’t send their content to our page analysis, please reach out to the author or developer to request an integration feature for better SEO compatibility. Our development team provides information about creating a custom integration here.
Although our plugin does not detect your content and shows an incorrect analysis report, this does not affect how search engines crawl and analyze your site. Search engines process the front end of your site and will detect your content.
If you need assistance with Yoast SEO, feel free to create a new topic in the plugin forum.Forum: Reviews

Hi @dundundun!
We are sorry to hear you’re not satisfied with Yoast SEO and that you had a bad experience using the plugin. We understand how concerning it must have been when your site slowed down and got a blank white space while using the plugin.
Though we are no longer able to check the issue now, we would say the issue you encountered was probably caused by a plugin or theme conflict. Also, our plugin is designed to facilitate the easier indexing of your website by search engines. If, during your use of Yoast SEO, your website got deindexed, it is possible that the “Allow search engines to show post/page in search results” option was set to “No” for some of your content types, which is not the default setting.
We understand that you are no longer using our plugin. However, if you ever decide to use it again in the future and encounter any issues, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team through the plugin forums. Our support team will look into the issue and assist you further.
