In reply to: Updated functions.php and now I can't access dashboard or website.Hello again Sterndata,
I found the correct functions.php file. It was actually located in a sub-directory in my theme’s folder.
I’ll definitely will not use that site for setting this up.
Do you have any suggestions on how to create and install a shortcode to hide email addresses on my site from spammers robots?
Thanks again,
joe

That’s the problem I’m having. I looked in wp-content/themes/divi/functions.php and am opening the file in TextWrangler.
There’s 8600 lines of code in there and I can’t find the three lines I entered. I used the search feature of TextWrangler and it’s not finding it.
This is what is so confusing. I can’t find the code anywhere but my site is still not working.
I can’t even login to my WP dashboard to access my themes editor or change to a different theme.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks again,
Joe

In reply to: Updated functions.php and now I can't access dashboard or website.Hello Sterndata,
Thanks for the reply.
I tried that but the weird part is, the 3 lines of code I entered are not showing up in the functions.php file.
I’ve actually been searching for it through several of the functions.php files as I’m not exactly sure which was I updated.
Any advice on how to find the correct functions.php file?
Thanks again,
Joe
