Hi @shuja5252,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with email delivery.
To troubleshoot the issue, you can check that your form notification settings are configured correctly by following our tutorial.
If your notification settings are correct, the issue is likely because the emails sent from WordPress are not authenticated (unlike emails sent directly from dedicated email service providers). As a result, they are likely to be filtered by the receiving mail server.
In order to authenticate the emails sent through your website, the best solution is to use an SMTP plugin (that’s why we recommend it). That way, you’ll ensure all your emails are being sent successfully.
We have an article with a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.
I hope this helps!
Hi @sukraaan,
I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with our Lite forms.
Our team has worked hard to make sure that our free version includes everything needed to create a basic contact form.
The Standard Fields like the Single Line Text and Paragraph Text fields can be used to collect any information you’d like.
You can also set up form notifications to send out form submission details or add users as email subscribers when you connect WPForms to Constant Contact.
If those email notifications are not working, you can check that your form notification settings are configured correctly by following our tutorial.

Hi @jonswift53,
Thanks for following up on this.
As I’ve mentioned in my initial reply, our Lite version does have an Email Notification feature. If the emails were not arriving, it has -most likely- been caused by an email delivery issue.
If you have an active license subscription with us (as you’ve mentioned that you paid for Pro), could you please submit a support ticket through the WPForms account dashboard when you have a chance?
From there, our support team will be able to take a closer look at your request and help you with any issue you might be experiencing.
Thanks!

Hi @haikuluke,
Thanks for following up on this.
With our Lite plugin, you can set up notifications and automatically send out emails containing the information a user submits through your WordPress forms.
However, the entry management within your WordPress dashboard is a paid feature as of now.
Please let me know if you have any other suggestions for what you’d like in the Lite version (besides the entry management within your WordPress dashboard) so I can share your feedback with the respective team.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the entry management and email delivery issue you might have experienced.
Kind regards,
Hi @bestranger,
Thank you for the review and for including some feedback!
As you have already mentioned, we use the Mailcheck library for the email suggestions, and we do not put anything on top of their defaults.
Mailcheck provides a default list of domains, which can be extended per one’s needs, and that was the workaround provided by Prashant, to include the Slovak domain.
They update their list of domains in their updates, so eventually they will add the Slovak domain (.sk).If you need any help with the instructions provided on how to add a new domain to the list, please feel free to follow up in the support thread you’ve created.
Thank you!

Hi @jcc5018,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and concerns about WPForms. We always value our user’s feedback as it allows us to improve our services and user experience.
First, I’d like to clarify that WPForms does suggest an SMTP setup to ensure reliable email delivery. However, it’s worth noting that many email delivery services (like SendLayer, Sendinblue, etc) have free plans, which are more than sufficient for a basic contact form.
Currently, no entries are stored for backup in the free version of WPForms unless you have the Lite Connect feature enabled (more details on that here). The main reason entries are not stored in WPForms Lite is due to WordPress guidelines. We’re not allowed to lock entries behind a paid license level which is why we created Lite Connect to allow users to opt into the Lite Connect feature. This allows users to recover the entries that were made from the time Lite Connect is enabled. Regarding your security concern (about the entry backups), I guarantee security is one of our highest priorities. If you want to know more about this, you can check the following guide.
While the PRO version does indeed offer additional features and conveniences, we aim to make the Lite version as functional as possible without compromising the core functionalities. We’re sorry if our messaging led to any misunderstanding. We’re continuously working on improving the clarity and accuracy of our information.
And if you’d like more help with using WPForms Lite and your email delivery issue, please feel welcome to post in our WPForms Lite support forum.
Thanks!

If you have any suggestions for the things you’d like to see in the Lite version, please let me know and I’d be happy to share your feedback with the team.

Hi @dustyhale,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with our forms.
In most cases, if the JavaScript within your forms is broken, you will see the error “This page isn’t loading JavaScript properly, and the form will not be able to submit. Please check out our troubleshooting guide for details on resolving this issue.” whenever a form submission is attempted.
In most cases, these JavaScript issues are caused by optimization and caching plugins. I’d suggest you take a look at our guide here, where we explain how to troubleshoot JavaScript errors.
If you have other questions or need further assistance with this issue, you can use the WPForms Lite ww.wp.xz.cn support forum where we provide limited complimentary support.
Hope this helps!
Hi @haikuluke,
Thank you for the honest feedback!
Entries in WPForms Lite are not stored by default. However, enabling the Lite Connect option will back up the entries submitted through your forms. This means that if you decide to upgrade to WPForms Pro, you can restore your entries and have instant access to reports. Please check this guide for more details about this feature.
Please also know that you should be able to set up form notification emails in WPForms Lite so that you will receive the entries submitted by your users. Here’s the tutorial with all the details. In Lite, you’re able to set up one notification email — however, you can send this one notification to as many different email addresses as you’d like.
If you are not receiving the email notifications, I’ll recommend you to check that your form notification settings are configured correctly by following our tutorial.
If your notification settings are correct, the issue is likely because the emails sent from WordPress are not authenticated (unlike emails sent directly from dedicated email service providers). As a result, they are likely to be filtered by the receiving mail server.
