Although I couldn’t figure out why the thumbnail images were being loaded, I did manage to fix the issue.
I re-organised my media library and set the media settings to not create any additional sizes. Then used the “Force Regenerate Thumbnails” plugin to remove all instances of the image size that was being loaded in AMP.
All good now. 🙂

None of the blog posts load the correct images on mobile. On some posts it’s inconsistent, where a few images are loading fine, but others are not.
But if I open the amp version on desktop, they are all loading fine. Here are a few that aren’t appearing correctly on mobile devices:

I like your plugin and would love to use it.
